Cat Emergency Supply Kit Checklist

Think of it as a “go bag” for your cats. Having an emergency evacuation supply kit for your cats ready makes it easy to grab everything at a moment’s notice.

Place all of these things, except the cat carrier, into a grab-and-go backpack or plastic crate for easy access if you must evacuate.

__ Carrier (1 for each cat) with some familiar bedding in it. (blanket, towel, Fleece crate pad, etc.)

__ ID tag attached to the carrier for your cat , with your cat’s name, their Microchip number, Your Name & phone number, your veterinarian’s name & phone number on it.

__ Cat info & Medical records – Into a plastic ziplock bag place a copy your cat’s latest vaccination records and rabies vaccination certificate, medication information and any special feeding and behavior information. Also include a Selfie of you and your cat with their microchip # and your contact information. This will help with reuniting you with your cat if you all become separated.

__ Food – enough for 1 week. (If your cat is normally on Raw food, canned food is a good substitute.)

__ Food and water bowls. Paper bowls are sometimes a good substitute, and easier to clean up.

__ Medications (1-2 weeks supply) and list of those meds and proper dosage. Also, include your veterinarian’s information for confirmation and/or refills.

__ Bottled water

__ Cat treats

__ Cat collar with ID tag, cat harness with ID tag, cat leash.

__ Blanket or towel – for swaddling your cat or catching them in emergency, or covering their carrier.

__ Your cat’s favorite bed or blanket

__ Litterboxes (disposable are great!)

__ Cat Litter

__ Litter scoop

__ Waste bags and garbage bags

__ Cleaning wipes

__ Paper towels

__ Dish soap and scrubby for cleaning up.

__ A few of your cat’s favorite toys, and some catnip.  CBD calming chews/treats are also very good for helping calm anxious kitties.

__ Cat grooming supplies:  Brush, comb, nail trimmers & alcohol free, perfume free baby wipes.
